Bio for Greg diPiazza
He has appeared on several television shows both in Hawaii and LA, including MTV's basement tapes, an eight week run on the nationally televised Night Watch, and Eye on LA. Greg's music is featured in Robbie Nash's latest national release kite-surfing video.
Greg also has written and produced several CD's, the latest being, Maui Underground, which he is currently promoting. Greg has an amazing voice and a stellar guitar technique, and he features unique classic rock covers with warm, rich, heartfelt originals - a performance you won't want to miss.
Life in California
Greg started his career at Golden West College in Orange County where he studied performing arts with such notables as Tonny Rizzi, Suther Hughes, and Dave Pell. He studied voice privately with the legendary voice coach Rodger Love of Hollywood. He went on to form several bands and write and produce several albums. Some of the more popular bands were: The Covairs, Manchild, Maverick, and Masters, Mates, and Pilots. Greg made the play list on KNAC radio, and his music was featured on KLOS, KROQ, and many college radio stations throughout the U.S. He was a regular at LA's Whiskey A Go Go, The Roxy, Club Lingerie, Palamino Club, and in Orange county at The Coach House, Cookoos Nest, also Long Beach State College and Fenders Ball Room, to mention a few.
Over the years Greg has worked with, and opened for: Willie Nelson, Johnny Lang, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Grateful Dead, Lone Justice, Dave Mason, Hoyt Axton, Johnny Winter, Social Distortion, Tsol, The Blasters, and many many more. He spent all of 2004 in Malibu recording and performing with Steve Ferrone. Ferrone - considered the best rock drummer in the world - currently plays with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
Life in Maui
Greg relocated to Maui in the early 1990's where he formed more popular groups like Volcano Jones, featuring David Thompson - the screaming violin boy aka Id; Twisted Fisherman (an incredible acid Jazz group) that released two CDs; Maui Love Bone (X-rated CD); the SUPER G band (a slammin' rap CD); and now Maui Underground. Greg has written and produced three LPs and four CDs as well as two albums for Cassandra Delaney Denver (John Denver's wife). Cassandra will be joining Greg for some gigs in LA in the near future billed as "Cassandra Denver and the Maui Underground Orchestra."
There have been many newspaper and magazine articles about Greg and his music, such as the Oct 27th, 2005 article in the Maui News touting his yearly Hallowe'en gig at the Pioneer Inn in Lahaina. I have attended this event several times myself and this is definitely the most rockin' place to be on Hallowe'en.

Maui Underground performs regularly in Hawaii and Greg is currently working on an animation music video for Sunshine of Your Love, from the SUPER G CD. Greg's latest CD's are probably the best music he's ever produced and performed. Besides being an absolute virtuoso with his instruments, Greg is the consummate performer who can sense and respond to his audience with exactly the kind of music they want to hear.
